In highschool, I took an anatomy class aswell as a personal training class which steered me down this path. I loved learning about the different body parts and their functions aswell as their movement, and within personal training I learned how to teach someone proper form and technique. Another reason I chose to pursue this path is because I grew up in phyiscal therapy for the first several years of my life. Being born with bilateral clubbed feet, I would be in and out of P.T, doing all these different mobility exercises and stretches to help me with my range of motion in my feet. But the reason this has played a factor in my career is because of the way the physical therapists interacted with me. When I was younger, I wasn&#8217;t a fan of the stretches and exercises because I found them boring, but the P.T staff made them enjoyable and fun for me, which is something I want to pass down.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I chose exercise science to pursue because I enjoy learning about how the body operates and functions.
