Why are you interested in cybersecurity technology?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be completely honest, I wasn\u2019t at all interested in learning about cybersecurity\/cyber technology until several months ago. I was planning on pursuing a career in the medical field, so it never crossed my mind. I only changed my mind because I realized that if I spent ten years getting an education in a medical profession and decided it was not for me, then it would be a complete waste of time, energy, and money. So, I was completely confused and had no idea what I wanted or what I was going to do in life. Then, my dad, who was already familiar with cybersecurity via his job, suggested that I pursue it, saying that cybersecurity would be an excellent fit for me. Although I wasn\u2019t as interested before and worried about what to expect, I\u2019m quite excited to learn more about cybersecurity. I want to figure out how individuals use cyber technology to commit crimes and how that same technology can be used to catch those criminals. It\u2019s incredible to me how much information people are unintentionally sharing with the whole world at this moment. Luckily, when I had to Google myself for a class assignment, I didn\u2019t find anything, but I found information on my dad, and I eventually found our address after some scrolling. In my case, it\u2019s not that bad, but I know for a fact that other people have it worse when it comes to securing your personal information. That\u2019s another reason why I find cybersecurity interesting; it can teach me how to use technology to protect myself and others from harm or the malicious intent of cyber criminals. However, the main reason, which is also how my dad convinced me to choose cybersecurity, is the amount of money people working in cybersecurity make.1<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
