However, they have also made the world less safe through cyber attacks, lack of data privacy, and the potential misuse of artificial intelligence for harmful purposes. With the development of computers, cyber protection has improved drastically. The consistent use of biometric technology for authentication and encryption to protect data has allowed the structure of security to become more advanced. In addition to enhancing security, computers have contributed to emergency response with the development of products like GPS tracking. With this development, emergency responders are able to easily track down individuals in trouble in order to provide the services sent to them with the correct location. Computers have also made everyday life easier for consumers. This technology has allowed for the ease of completing school work and job assignments with carrying a device that can be used anywhere with internet access. Not only that, but computers can also be used for communication over long distances. Unfortunately, the use of computers also comes with its negative effects. For example, cybercriminals often use computers for their malicious activities such as phishing, DoS attacks, malware, or ransomware. Also, computers can lead to their users falling victim to data breaches and their passwords become compromised. Another negative effect of computers is that they give individuals the ability to misuse artificial intelligence. This consists of the use of deepfakes to impersonate anyone and A.I chatbots to forge homework assignments like essays.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Describe three ways that computers have made the world safer and less safe.
