One of my teammates Kiki joined me in the Student Rec Center to play basketball. Whenever my friends and I are bored, we love to walk over to the rec center and play whatever game is available.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This image is at a men’s basketball game! My friends and I love going to the games because being in Chartway has such a great ambiance and vibe. The games are always so fun, and both basketball teams are very competitive making the games fun to watch.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In early December to help kids in need, all sports teams game together to help wrap presents. These presents went to help those and need. This event just filled my heart and made me so happy that we could help those whose parents could not afford Christmas gifts.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

By the end of this event this whole table was piled very high with Christmas gifts.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

My lacrosse team did a 9\/11 remembrance dinner where we donated money to the burn care center in Norfolk. We also went to the local fire station and thanked them for their service and ate\/provided a meal with them. We then did fun activities with the fire station and just had a great night.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

All sports teams on campus went to the President’s house for a seafood boil. Just to have a great start to the year and honor all students who are also student athletes. When there we were able to get to know the President and thank him for all he does for the university. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I am on the women’s lacrosse team here at ODU which every day is student involvement. Having practice, run, or lift almost every day where we can hang out with our teammates and friends. Sports are a big part of ODU and getting to be a part of that is a dream come true.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I took a part in an activity in the new health sciences building where we got to text out the different machinery they have for rehabilitation. This was the AlterG which was what a lot of athletes use to recover from a knee or ACL injury. Wanting to be an athletic trainer this machinery can be used at a higher level and could be something I work with one day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
