Privacy, Confidentiality, Security, Inaccuracy are all issues when storing electronic information about individuals online. Privacy is a concern due the kind of date that is often stored. If such data is made available for the public to view, then there is a risk for that person that is unknown, and the date can therefore be compromised. This can be a real concern, especially now adays. Confidentiality is another problem. Data and information between and customer and business a lot of times should only be able to be view by the business or the customer. This can be good but can also be bad if a system is hacked and a data leak occurs. When the leak occurs the customer’s personal information can then be sold to the highest bidder on the black market etc. Security is our next issue that is probably so far, the most important. A company should take all the efforts it can to safeguard the security of a customer’s personal information. As noted with Confidentiality, if there is a system hack, customers’ information can be vulnerable and sold or used for illegal or fraudulent purposes. It is therefore important that companies take broad and effective security measures for this purpose. A fourth one that is inaccurate data. A company should make sure that is has accurate and correct data on a customer. This can be one of the most important one for companies especially when it comes to loss and profit. Companies need to know how to get in touch with their customers if one of the first three issues happens. Accurate information also helps companies report the correct information to outside companies (i.e. Credit Bureaus) to make sure that nothing wrong is reported also. This all ties into Cybersecurity because at the heart of Cybersecurity is protecting of information
