Cyber-attacks and risks in the United States vary in different levels depending on the type of cyber-attack that occurs. The type of attacks that this can be includes phishing, hacking, data breaching, ransom ware attacks and many other types of cyber-attacks. Companies are often unaware when one of these types of cyber- attacks occurs. Cyber-attacks can cause damage to a company’s reputation and cost them a lot of money also in lost customers and to then must pay to do something they should have been doing all along. These same cyber-attacks can cause damage to say a companies in a country like China also. A lot of Chinese companies do not take the actual preventive measure that a lot of U. S. Companies take to prevent Cyber-attacks. Companies in China have been the victim of cyber-attacks where private info ends up leaking out and getting into the hands of criminals. When these attacks happen, this not only upsets Chinese citizens, but the Chinese government also. The Chinese government has said that they will start making companies take a more active measure in making sure that their cyber security systems are more up to date, but that has been suspect to say the least. Let’s hope that companies in Chines start implementing better security measures and cyber security policies to prevent attacks on their cyber systems. When comparing both countries, what makes the U.S, stand out much better it that when it comes to preventing cyber-attacks most of our companies use better security measures, have better trained staff, and use better cyber security software to prevent attacks. I am not saying that attack do not occur here, just that we do a better precautionary job. In all both countries have room to improve, but at the end of the day I think the United States is on a much better Cyber Security path than China is.
