It is imperative to learn about the culture and their reasoning for their language in order to understand the language. Learning about other cultures creates tolerance, acceptance, and less prejudice. Additionally, learning another language can provide opportunities, open new doors, and help when traveling.<\/p>\n<p>I am studying French because I have a foreign language requirement for my degree.
