About

Scheduling Research Virtual Center (SRVC) aims at advancing the area of Scheduling Research, an area within the field of Operations Research. You can here share resources with others to advance the research. You will be able to browse and find benchmark data, solutions, papers, tutorials, algorithms, programs, code, FAQ, useful links, etc. It is a one stop shop for people interested in Scheduling Research to visit and find what they are looking for. At the same time, we hope that this open site will encourage researchers and developers to post their scheduling contributions especially benchmark data to which other researchers can compare their algorithm performances. If you have something you would like to share please drop me a note with a summary of what you would like to contribute.

  1. Dear Sir,
Hope this email finds well. I have been working and still working on some related projects that have to do with improving an existing research paper entitled “Arnaout, J.P., Musa, R. and Rabadi, G., 2014. A two-stage Ant Colony optimization algorithm to minimize the makespan on unrelated parallel machines—part II: enhancements and experimentations.” which was published in Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, 25(1), pp.43-53. However, we are using two different metaheuristics approach namely Symbiotic organisms search algorithm (SOS) and firefly algorithm to implement the same unrelated machine scheduling problem using the same benchmark dataset, which is available on this site. My request is, how I can upload our simulation results so that other researchers can replicate our experiments. The two papers for the SOS and FA algorithms are currently under review at two different journals. We would also like to upload our results with the published papers if possible.

    Thanks

    • Please email them to me and I will post them. Please also send me the titles of the papers and solution per paper.

      • Thank you so much, I will arrange them in excel format and send to you sir when i’m done formatting. Please to which email can I send the files, since I cannot directly upload them on this page.

        Kind regards,

        Absalom
