Some majors offer course-based research where you are introduced to research as part of a lab. Joining a faculty member\u2019s lab is another way to get involved. You should expect to commit 6-10 hours per week on your project. Your faculty mentor may be able to pay you for your efforts or you may volunteer or take credits for the experience.
