The main thing that I learned within this course is the importance of research in science fields and being able to better identify good sources when creating research-based papers. As well as this, it is important because the research paper assignments specifically were very interesting to me and allowed me to take a deep-dive into the reperfusion-ischemic injury and how mitochdonrial transplantation can help in the recovery process of these types of injury. I feel like the research-oriented nature of this assignment helped me really put the course material into context for real-life examples, as well as tying into my other courses, since they’re very heavily research oriented, getting extra practice in was very useful, especially since this course doesn’t pertain to Psychology, where most of my research assignjents have taken place. This course was very applicable to what I was doing in Psychology last semester since I was taking a neurology course and psychopathology, where there was some overlaps in this course (mainly pertaining to hormones). The packbacks were also quite interesting, since a lot of the questions that were asked I had to do research to answer those questions and they really got me thinking and there was just a lot of variety when it came to what was asked, which made that assignment type very fun and engaging to work on. All in all, I found myself enjoying this class a lot, it was very fun and I feel like I have grown exponentially as a student, especially when it comes to research-based understanding of biological sciences and having a lot more context into different research topics outside of my usual research focus on Psychology.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
