Cyber technology has transformed the workplace, for the better in a lot of aspects. However in some ways it has led to greater deviance. For example, employees now may use VPNs, anonymous accounts, or encryptic communications to obfuscate inappropriate conduct. Employees have avenues to delete, alter, and leak sensitive data company, making insider threats a larger risk. Cyberloafing is also an issue, as employees could mismanage their work hours on social media, gaming, etc. Fraud is also an issue, whether it be phishing scams or manipulating digital payment systems. There are other examples of cybertechnology threats that derive from workplace deviance, such as potential laziness or convenience creating threat vectors, but these are just a few.
