Cybersecurity Career Connections Reflection
During the Cybersecurity Career Connections event I learned about a lot of places that I could work in the future and also intern at. The two that stood out to me is ManTech and The FBI. It The FBI is actually my dream job, so hearing about the internships they have made me even more excited. I also learned about what type of technical talent the FBI is looking for so it will better prepare myself in the future to get a better chance of working for the FBI. I also met this lady that can help me prepare for an interview and help me with my resume too! What I liked about ManTech was that they work with a whole lot of programs Including the FBI and NASA and I just thought that working with them could help me expand my knowledge and provide lots of opportunities. Doing an internship with the FBI is a 10 week paid internship which will help them explore lots of career options. Students work side by side with FBI employees which offers a pre-career experience like no other.

CyberOps Reflection
During the CyberOps event, I only stayed long enough to hear about Assura but I learned a lot about what type of jobs you can get in cybersecurity right after school. One of the coolest things I learned about was pen testing which is like trying to hack into businesses’ files then after you hack in you find a way that others are unable to hack into their database. I also learned what to put into my resume when applying for a job and if you have something on your resume that you know less about, guide the interviewer’s attention toward one of your stronger topics. Some of the jobs that are offered after college are Deloitte, Socs, Data centers, consulting firms, etc. GCR involves training, testing, auditing framework, etc. I learned that Triage is when you work in the hospital you have to figure out what to do with the patient like take them to the emergency room or have them wait or send them home, then you have to document it. One thing that I learned from the FBI is that they internships for all grades, not just sophomores or juniors.
