The movie starts off with Frankie working at her job as a bank teller. Then some men came in and robbed the bank. Darnell (one of the robbers) had known Frankie and went to her to take the money. She tells him \u201cDarnell, don\u2019t do this\u201d, while she is at gunpoint. She was scared for her life. Darnell starts yelling and saying and telling everyone to get on the ground. She refuses to not cooperate with him. Darnell kills a woman. A police officer kills two of the robbers and the others escape. While Darnell is shooting back, he then shoots the police officer multiple times. Darnell then gets killed by another police officer. She knew Darnell because they grew up in the same projects. When investigators were investigating the robbery aftermath, They asked her how well did she know the perpetrator and she explained their past. Then they ask what’s the procedure when getting robbed at the bank. She explains that she didn\u2019t follow the procedure because he had a gun. They decided to let her go because she had known the perpetrator. She expresses that this isn\u2019t right. She expresses that she works hard and how dedicated she is about her job. She expresses that this isn\u2019t right. She expresses that they didn’t even offer her any water. They think that she is involved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stoney decides to throw a 70\u2019s themed graduation party for her little brother, Stevie. She is excited for him to go to college. Stony has been taking care of her brother since their mother and father died. Later into the party, Stevie expresses to her sister that he isn\u2019t going to college. He says that he didn’t get a scholarship from UCLA and she tries to reassure him that she can try and handle it. She wants him to go to college. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stoney, TT, Frankie, and Cleo all work for Luther’s Janitorial Services. Luther tells them that they have to start recycling and is trying to figure out who isn\u2019t following directions. He later asks who had 104 and that they didn\u2019t empty the cans. TT comes out and tells him that she is the one that was responsible and she docks her pay. Cleo says that it isn\u2019t right. TT tells Luther that taxes are coming out and how she won\u2019t have enough money to pay for her babysitter. He expresses that if she doesn\u2019t wanna work that she doesn\u2019t have to. Stoney tells TT that she needs to start standing up for herself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The detectives replays the camera footage of the robbery and expresses how to find one of the guys and what they have on him. He wants everything. While looking at the footage, they see a pattern\/ letters on the back of the boy’s head. This later helps them identify the boy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While the girls are sitting on top of Cleo\u2019s car, Cleo expresses how Lorenz and the others had gotten away with $20,000. Cleo expresses that that\u2019s what they need to do, rob a bank. They tell her that she is crazy.Stoney expresses that they are smarter than that. Frankie suggests that they blow the bank up. She then explains that after two years, she isn\u2019t able to get a recommendation for her to get another job. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stoney sees a man named Nate Andrews. TT reminded her about how he wanted Stoney to work for him. Stoney expresses that that\u2019s not all he wanted. She goes and talks with him. She talks about the business and how much she would make. SHe expresses to him that she needs some money for a problem that she needs fixing. He starts touching her and he suggests that they go on a ride. She expresses to him that she needs her check before she doesnt anything. He says that she would get the check whenever he is done with her. She already knows what he wants from her and tells him that he is wrong. She feels like she needs to do what she needs to do to provide. She says that she needs the money. They engage in sexual activity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All the girls decide to go and smoke on top of a roof. When engaging in those activities, TT tries to figure out what to do since she is making half as much as she used to. Frankie starts talking about a bank and Cleo agrees. Stoney still doesn\u2019t want to participate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stoney shows Stevie the money that she had received. Stevie expresses that he didn’t get into UCLA and that he didn’t get it. Stoney gets upset and expresses that she did what she had to do to get that money. Stevie says that maybe that life isn\u2019t for him. He later leaves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stevie goes to Lorenz house to celebrate with champagne for UCLA. Lorenz asked Stevie if he wanted the AP on his head. They pressure him into getting the haircut with the AP. Stevie leaves and police are watching him walk. They are all standing behind him. They are screaming to him to get down on the ground\/ Stevie is confused and he gets on the ground. One of the people screams that he has a gun and Stevie pulls out the champagne bottle that was in his coat. Stevie Screams wait and they all fire at him. Stoney gets a vision and feeling that something is wrong. The investigator rolls him onto his back and sees the champagne bottle. He screams for an ambulance and says that he stays with him and stays alive. He takes his last breath. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police go into Lorenz house, armed, and he is armed. Lorenz starts shooting and he later passes. Stoney runs to her brother and cries. She cries \u201cwhat have you done\u201d. All four girls are there and the lead investigator goes and talks to them. He tells them that it would be a full investigation. The investigator learns how Stevie was. All three girls plan to stay with Stoney while she is going through a hard and rough time. Stoney wants out of here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All four girls are sitting and talking about the plan. Frankie talks about getting wigs, masks, gloves, etc. TT is scared and thinks about all of the lives that have passed that’s going on in the neighborhood and the robbery. Frankie tries to reassure her and talks about how they men didn’t know anything about the banks, that’s why they were unsuccessful. She says that since she worked at a wank, she knows everything and how aint nobody gon get hurt. Frankie sees it as that they are taken from the system that isn\u2019t treating people well. Stoney says let’s do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stoney and TT walk into a bank. She is looking at the surroundings, like the cameras, police, etc. Stoney then sees the vault of money, wide open, behind the counter. Stoney meets a man that works at the bank. She asks about opening up a new account. He explains that he does not work down at the first floor and that he is a manager. He couldn’t help but to stop her. He asks if she has plans for tonight and she asks \u201care you asking me out\u201d.While this conversation is going on, TT is in the background and tries to rush stoney out. He asks if he has her number and she suggests that she take his number. She says that knows she has an inside track\/ an insider that works at the bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All four girls are now working, TT brings her child (Jajuan) into work. Cleo says that the bosses are going to kill her if they see a child at work. Stoney says to put him over where they aren\u2019t working. TT put him on the floor near the couch. They continue cleaning and the baby starts crawling away. Jajuan reaches the part where all of the chemicals and cleaning supplies are. He starts crying loudly and they all run to him. The ambulance comes and gets Jajuan and all four girls are rushing him to put him into the ambulance. They make it to the hospital. They are all sitting there, waiting for any updates. A doctor comes and tells them that he thinks he is going to pull through fine. TT asks \u201cCan I see him?\u201dHe says that she would need to speak to Miss Wells from child protective services. Stoney says no and Cleo says that it was all an accident, trying to stand up for TT. Miss Wells says that she needs to speak to the mother alone. TT and Stoney go with Miss Wells and talk to her. SHe tells them that Jajuan has been severely poisoned. They explain that it was an accident and she says that she is sure that it was but they are going to retain custody for the child to make sure he isn\u2019t suffering from neglect. She expresses that that\u2019s her son and she would die for him. She says that he shouldn’t have been at the workplace. She expresses that she doesn\u2019t have a choice because she doesn\u2019t have any money to pay for a abbysitter.She says that now she has to prove that she can take care of him because poison to them is neglect on a child. SHe says in order to get your son back, the child will remain in custody until you could pay for proper child care. TT asks why she can\u2019t come up with the money and Miss Wells says that there would be a court date and the judge would decide at that point what would happen. She screams and cries \u201cYou can’t take my baby, I would die without my baby\u201d. Cleo says that you know what we got to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Frankie starts explaining what to do when they get to the bank. She tells Cleo how much she would at least have. Cleo says that she is gonna give her a letter. Frankie emphasizes to make sure that the bank teller doesn\u2019t draw from the right hand clips. When that happens, they are setting off the alarm. Cleo just wants to take all the money. Frankie discusses how plan B is going to work out. Frankie explains to Cleo what a cow is and says that it would at least have 50 thousand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All four of the girls are in this place with these men. The main man is named Black Sam. They are here firing guns. Cleo goes to black Sam and asks him for a favor. Cleo says that he owes her from all of the times that she stole a car from him. Black Sam says that they can\u2019t afford the guns that they were shooting with. She says that it’s a favor and they would bring them back, with interest. He asks Bruce to go ahead and hook them up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cleo hijacks and steals a car from out of a garage. That\u2019s their getaway car. All four girls then go into South Los Angeles Savings and Loan. They all have on blacked out glasses, wigs, and different color plaid jackets on. TT seems scared and Frankie asks what’s wrong. TT says that she can\u2019t do this. Stoney says that this ain’t right and she feels weird about doing this. Frankie pulls the gun out and starts walking out to the main part of the back and Cleo follows her. TT runs out and Stoney follows them also. Frankie tells everyone to put their hands up. Frankie starts putting the cash into a garbage bag while Cleo and Stoney look an eye on the hostages. All three get out of their safety and take the getaway car. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They all get back and start counting the money that they just received. They realize it\u2019s actually theirs. TT comes in through the door and they tell her to lock the door. TT says that they won’t be ready and Frankie said that she had to push them. Jada tells TT that this is all over. They have around 12 thousand dollars. TT gasps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police and detectives get to the garage where Cleo stole the car from. They said that the car that was stolen was the car that was used for the robbery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All four girls start splitting the money. Frankie says that TT shouldn\u2019t be getting nothing sense she aint do nothing. TT says ok she won\u2019t get any money and Frankie said that she is tripping and they all get the money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stoney shows up to the man she had met at the bank, at his house. They make it to the restaurant. They start getting to know each other. Stoney thinks they don’t have anything in common. Thye get back to his house and he shows her around. They start drinking and talk about the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two detectives go to the garage where the stolen car was and make it a crime scene. They look at the tape a bunch of times. They zoom in on their faces. They zoom into stoney face and Detective Strode thinks that one of the robbers is stoney. They ask their boss and the boss sees it as the Innocent student getting wrongfully shot by cops and then wants to bring the sister in, in connection to the bank robbery. His boss says no way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With all the money that they got from the robberies, Cleo has bought a new car and stopped going to work. The other three come in and ask why she hasn\u2019t been acting reguler, like going to work and still doing their normal stuff. Luther said that she was fired. Stoney says that the money got you trippin. Cleo thinks that they should rob another bank to get real money. Cleo puts the gun to stoney face and tells her that she is not about to back down and they need her.Cleo and stoney begin to about to start fighting because stoney slaps her in the face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stoney gets to Keith’s house. He wants to travel with her. He sees that she is upset and she says that she had a lot on her mind. She explains to him about money and friends and he gives her some advice about what to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Frankie tells Cleo that she knows that she is wrong for doing that to stoney. TT says that she aint doing nothing without stoney. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Detective Strobe goes spying on the girls and gets all of them from their police records together. He figures out the whole group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cleo and Stoney get to work and Stoney says sorry. Cleo accepts the apology and Cleo says that they need to rob another bank. Stoney says that they need to have a plan. Luther catches Cleo at work. Luther says get to work. All four girls have a meeting and Stoney says that they need to rob the bank one more time and make sure they do it right. They all agree that they are robbing another bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cleo steals another car and that\u2019s their getaway car for the next robbery. The other three go into the Balboa savings and loan and Stoney keeps track of the time while Frankie gets the money from behind the counter. While all of this is happening, police are out front arguing with a man that was harassing a woman. All three girls start freaking out because the car is in front of the bank, near the getaway car. Stoney tries to figure out where Cleo is and Cleo steals a big suburban house and runs into the bank. All the others get into the truck and they leave. Cleo runs in back of a restaurant and comes back out from the bank. They almost cause accidents on the road. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They get back to their place and see how much they stole, and celebrate. They all got 75 thousand a piece. While at work, the place that they clean, they put the money into a vent. They get back to their place and Stoney gets invited to a cocktail party for the National Association of Bankers and he wants her to go with him. He tells her the theme to wear and to be at the house at 6:00 for the limo to come and pick them up. She gets to the house and they are about to leave, The police show up at the door and she freaks out. She backs away from the door and he notices that she is tense. She explains that she doesn\u2019t like cops because of what happened to her brother. He takes her shopping and gets fitted for a new dress and other things. They get to the place and he sees that she is nervous because she is chugging down champagne. He introduces her to his boss.Stoney tells Keith that this is the best night of her life. He suggests that she stay some nights with him to see if she is comfortable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The other three girls get to the building that they clean. They meet a man named Pete and someone else and they explain that Luther doesn\u2019t clean this building any more. They immediately ran to the vent where the money was at. They see that it is gone. They go to Black Sam and ask where Luther is. Cleo says that they got twisted with their money and his interest from luther. Black Sam tells them where Lluther is at. They locate him at a hotel. They bust in through the doors of his room and search for the money. Cleo asks him where the money is. All around the hotel are very expensive things lying around. Luther points a gun at Cleo and she drops the money from her hand TT then shoots Luther two times and now he is dead. There was a woman with them and they made sure that she didn’t tell them. They were all in shock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cleo and her girlfriend Ursula are walking down the street with groceries. Detective Strobe walks beside Cleo and asks \u201cWhich one of you girls smoked luther?\u201dCleo says that he doesn\u2019t know what he is talking about. He tells her that they are going down to the station, for a line up, so get in the car. They get there and the same woman that was with Luther, when he was shot, is the witness and she needs to point out which one killed him. Cleo does hand gestures in the shape of a gun as a signal and sign. She tells them that it wasn\u2019t anyone and she goes home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stoney talks to TT and Frankie and finds out about luther..Frankie says that they should take the big bank downtown and Stoney says that she isn\u2019t in. Stoney says that, now it\u2019s armed robbery and murder. Stoney says that they agreed that they won\u2019t gon hurt anybody. TT goes to stoney and tells her that she needs this money for her child and her court date. Cleo rushes into the door and explains that they need to pick all of the stuff and they know. Cleo says they either need to rob another bank and get away from the city or they’re going to be in jail by the morning. Frankie suggests downtown federal. Stoney asks if it has to be downtown federal because she knows that Keith works there and is going to be at work, but she says fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TT comes a day before and comes to see her child. Miss Wells lets TT hold her child and she tells her that everything would be just fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are all eating at the table and they are all tense. Frankie tells them that no one has successfully robbed Downtown Federal. She says that there’s a freeway that’s a mile away so they have to stick to the plan. Cleo got a new disguise for them to wear while they are robbing the bank. None of them don\u2019t have enough money to pay the bill so they all walk out of the restaurant. Cleo steals another car for the robbery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At Downtown federal, they have a meeting with the investigators, giving them a heads up about the robberies that have been happening. They show camera footage of all four girls from their last robbery. While they are all watching the video, Keith takes a good look at one of the girls (which was stoney) and thinks. While they are watching the video, stoney and the other girls are on their way to the bank. Stoney calls Keith to talk to him. He gets up, answers the phone and it was stoney. Stoney says \u201cI need you to meet me at the Soul Food Restaurant in five minutes\u201d. He says that he is leaving right now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The girls get to the bank, and Frankie stays in the car. Keith is waiting for Stoney to show up. Both of the detectives get a call that the bank is being robbed and they turn around. TT starts getting the money and Frankie is still on the lookout. The detectives go through the side. While they are walking out, both detectives catch them and they are at gunpoint. The girls and detectives are pointing at eachother. Strobe tries talking to stoney and cleo. He is telling them to not do this. Cleo still has her gun up and TT starts standing up slowly and the cop from the bank steps in front of the detectives and shoots TT. Both Cleo and Stoney shoot at the cop and detectives. Frankie pulls up to the front. Stoney is dragging TT while Cleo is still shooting. They leave with the detectives still shooting at them. Stoney is holding TT while she is bleeding in her arms. Stoney talks to her and makes sure that she knows that she would be ok. While they are switching cars, stoney is holding TT and is rocking her and tells her that she would be ok. While stoney is still talking to her, TT dies in her arms. Stoney closes her eyes and leaves her in the truck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All three girls get into cleo car and they drive and are on the run.The police, helicopters, and everyone is chasing them. They make it to this tunnel. They think that they lost them but then the helicopter is on the other side of the tunnel. Cleo stops and thinks of what to do because they are stuck in the tunnel, with police on both sides. Cleo tells them to get out and suggests that they split up. They both get out and Cleo starts pressing on the gas towards the helicopter. The helicopter rises so that Cleo doesn\u2019t crash into them. When she gets out of the tunnel, they still chase her down the road. While Cleo is going one way, Stoney and Frankie run out the other side of the tunnel with the money. They go down the stairs and they dump their clothes. Stoney and Frankie both split up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cleo is not blocked and trapped. She looks at her surroundings and she smokes her cigarette and cries. She starts driving her car through the cops with her head down, while they are shooting at her. She gets through and stops. The police all walk up to the car. She opens the door and starts shooting at them, causing them to shoot and kill her. Her girlfriend watched her get killed on her tv screen and Black Sam sees it also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stoney gets to a bus and sits down. They catch Frankie just feet from the bus. Detective Strobe tells everyone to hold their fire and stoney sees her and watches her\u00a0from the bus. The detective tries to talk to her and while he is doing that, Frankie pulls out a gun from her pocket and put it to the side of his neck. She says “So, what’s the procedure when you got a gun at your head, huh”, and she asks again. She tells him “it’s over”, and proceeds to run to the bus, while he is still standing there and all the other police behind him is ready to shot. Two shots then goes off and shoots her and she is down. Stoney sees it while the bus is driving away. He is on his knees and he looks up at the bus and sees stoney. He lets her get away without saying anything. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stoney is on her knees, staring at the money on the bed that was stolen and laughs and cries. She thinks of all the memories of the girls and all the fun times. She also thinks of her brother. She proceeds to cut her braids off, takes the money and go. Stoney is in Mexico uses the payphone to call Keith. He answers and says hello, she is silent over the other end, He figures that it’s her.
