How did you score? What do you think about the items in the scale? Why do you think that different patterns are found across the world?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The website I used to complete my SMD scale was: https:\/\/www.brieftherapyconference.com\/download\/handouts\/Tobi-Goldfus-Social-Media-Disorder-Scale.pdf<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were 9 questions for this scale. I answered yes to preoccupation(1), persistence(4), and escape(8). I answered no to tolerance(2), withdrawal(3), displacement(5), problems,(6) deception(7), and conflict(9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think that the items on the scale were straight forward about the use of social media. I think that different patterns are found around the world because people use social media for different reasons.  Some individuals get paid to create content, which is also considered as entertainment.
