My name is Shayla, and I am a sophomore at Old Dominion University majoring in Cybersecurity. My interest in cybersecurity grew as I became more curious about technology and how important it is to protect information in our growing digital world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One thing that has influenced me throughout my education and work experience is my background in customer service. I have spent many years working with people, solving problems, and learning how to stay organized in fast paced environments. Although customer service and cybersecurity may seem very different, I have realized that skills such as communication, attention to detail, patience, and problem solving are important in both fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As I continue my college education, my goal is to explore the different areas of the field and discover where my interests and skills fit best. I am excited to build my technical skills and learn more about the many career opportunities cybersecurity has to offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I created this ePortfolio to showcase my work, accomplishments, and growth throughout my time at ODU.
