The necessity of cyber technology and integration into the present workplace has improved how organizations communicate, increase their productivity, connect to information and the world. Workplace deviance around cyber technology involves, but are not limited to cyberloafing, data theft\/misuse, and cyberbullying\/harassment. Cyberloafing is the act of an employee using company time to do personal things such as going on social media, watching videos or movies, researching things for answers, and online shopping. This impacts the organization negatively because it takes leads to possible security risks (unsecured websites) and they are not as productive. Data theft and misuse go hand in hand because employees access and misuse sensitive information, share said sensitive information outside of the organization, and accessing data that they are not authorized for. Cyberbullying\/harassment in the workplace is when employees use their email, teams, or social media to bully or harass colleagues. Unfortunately, since this is the digital age and there are less in person interactions, individuals feel more protected in engaging in such behaviors they otherwise would not commit in person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While cyber technology has so many advantages, it has introduced new difficulties related to workplace deviance.
