My conversation with Genevieve was great. However, my French was not as great as I was anticipating. I expected to be able to pour French out of my mouth like a water faucet, but unfortunately, once the camera turned on and we started our salutation, I forgot everything that I have learned since the beginning of the semester. I even forgot how formed the imparfait.
Luckily, she had my back during our talk because she helped me finish sentences and fill in gaps. I felt bad that she kept asking all the questions and I answered them. I was trying to ask a question, but I forgot how to form them. Quite frankly, I was dreading this conversation since I saw in on the class schedule in January, but I am glad that I completed this because it showed me that I have major work to do to improve on my French. How can I travel to France if my French is not up to par, right?
