His research focuses on leveraging computational methods, integrating machine learning, simulation, and optimization techniques, to address complex problems in several application domains such as cybersecurity, supply chain management, digital engineering, and disaster response. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">Before his current position, Dr. Khallouli served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Old Dominion University. During her time in EMSE (2021\u20132023), she developed depth in model-based thinking, system evaluation, and quantitative decision approaches for complex engineered systems. Her academic and applied work centered around how structure, logic, risk, requirements, and verification can be represented, traced, and managed across the system lifecycle. She is particularly skilled in using Innoslate for model development, requirements engineering, CONOPS development, architecture definition, and systems design workflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">She has nearly a decade of experience in aircraft maintenance for leading OEMs such as Airbus, Boeing, and Bombardier. As a stress analyst, she has contributed in analyzing and validating critical aircraft structures for maintenance and repair programs by carrying out damage tolerance inspections (DTI), fatigue analyses for passenger-to-freighter conversions supporting Supplemental Type Certification (STC), and providing design solutions for Extended Service Goals (ESG), retrofit initiatives, and non-conformance repair scenarios, ensuring compliance with stringent aviation standards. Her expertise encompasses structural analysis, fatigue assessment, and damage tolerance methodologies, underpinned by a robust foundation in rotating machinery design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">She is currently working as a Systems Engineer at an aerospace startup in Virginia, where she contributes to model-based engineering activities, design exploration, system integration insights, and mission-focused analysis.
