Spanish Club – NPD Officer visit Fall 2019
During the Fall 2019 semester, I participated in a few Spanish Club meetings, where we learned about the culture of Spanish-speaking countries (Países Hispanohablantes) vía board games, recipe-sharing and guest speakers, including a Norfolk Police Officer.
I had the opportunity to participate in a Día de Los Muertos event with the ODU Spanish Club. We did face painting and played some Spanish music (To the right is a photo of Marisela and I’s artistry).
In my personal time, I listen to podcasts such as Ted en Español, Duolingo Spanish Podcast and other Spanish-speaking podcasts.
I also watch shows like La Casa de Papel (made in Spain, original audio in Spanish) and even shows originally in English With Spanish subtitles to help me practice my listening comprehension.
