Each of our assignments online on the <em>Contrasena <\/em>platform required reading comprehension to complete. <strong>(PICTURE OF CONTRASENA READING ASSIGNMENT<\/strong>) Each unit included a <strong>Estrategia de comprensi\u00f3n: Escuchar<\/strong>, Texto, Vocabulario, Grammatica 1 &amp; 2, <strong>Exploraci\u00f3n cultural<\/strong>, <strong>Estrategia de producci\u00f3n: Hablar<\/strong>, and a Project. In each _____, there was a (Comprobar, Aplicar, and Co______). Of the four modes of communication (reading, writing, listening, and speaking), reading is the easiest for me. On this page, I will include screenshots of key study materials that we covered in class that I can use to further study and improve on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following, I will include some of the activities that were assigned in order to help us learn about Spanish-speaking communities and compare and contrast between the different cultures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Then, write a short reflection paragraph that includes the activities you described above.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>What was unclear or challenging for you? How did you overcome this difficulty? What did you find most interesting or compelling? What was your takeaway from the reading? This was especially true with unfamiliar stem-changing verbs such as these:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/span121f\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26564\/2021\/11\/Stem-changing.png?resize=688%2C283&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1063\" width=\"688\" height=\"283\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/span121f\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26564\/2021\/11\/Stem-changing.png?w=917&amp;ssl=1 917w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/span121f\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26564\/2021\/11\/Stem-changing.png?resize=300%2C123&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/span121f\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26564\/2021\/11\/Stem-changing.png?resize=768%2C316&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/span121f\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26564\/2021\/11\/Stem-changing.png?resize=833%2C342&amp;ssl=1 833w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/span121f\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26564\/2021\/11\/Stem-changing.png?resize=192%2C79&amp;ssl=1 192w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 688px) 100vw, 688px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">When we went over the preterite tenses, I struggled to identify the 1st and 3rd person singular (<em>I<\/em> and <em>he\/she\/it<\/em>), however over time I have improved on this by memorizing the first person singular of the verb tenses until I get comfortable enough using them that I won\u2019t need it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">For example, dorm\u00ed is the preterite first person singular, and since I remember that the rest of the conjugation is: -iste, -i\u00f3, -imos, -isteis, and -ieron.
