The location at which many of the manufacturing sites my company operates uniquely positions me to interact with people from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. I have been able to apply my skills learned in the classroom in a real-world context while working on projects for my company. Many of the manufacturing facilities have a strong presence of Spanish-speaking employees. Since expanding my Spanish vocabulary this past semester, I able to communicate with Spanish-speaking employees in their native language.\u00a0 I want to continue learning new vocabulary so I am able to have more in-depth conversations. As I continue to practice interpretive listening and interpersonal communication, I will continue to improve my professional career.\u00a0 The cultural perspective of the course has helped me grow as an individual and people management skills.\u00a0 It is helpful to understand cultural differences when managing people in a manufacturing setting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
