About Me

My name is Camille Hairston, and I am 20 years old. This is my first year here at Old Dominion University, though I’ve been a college student for three years now. I previously attended Virginia Union University my freshman year. Where I was a student majoring in Biology and a member of the STEM club program. I was also an athlete running on the Division II Track & Field team and in my free time volunteering as an Athletic Trainer. For my sophomore year, I enrolled at Thomas Nelson Community College, while I was going through the NCAA transfer portal process. There I was majoring in Health Science. Long story short I decided didn’t want to continue running track and focused on school and my career goals. Even though I don’t run track anymore I definitely try to stay active by going to the gym and going on long mile runs.

In 2021 in enrolled here at ODU and I am currently majoring in Public Health on the Pre-PA track, which I plan to earn a Bachelor of Science in. This past year I started working at a new job, as a Medical Assistant at a Dermatology Clinic, and so far, I absolutely love my job. Shortly after I graduate and earn my degree, I plan to attend PA school right away and hopefully graduate from there earning my PA-C title. My career goal is to become a PA-C in Dermatology, Orthopedics or Optometry.
