In assignment 5, I learned that helping others is not hard. I learned that taking the initiative to do something feels good. This assignment reminds me of my industrial psychology course because Helping coworkers and others usually have benefits; Plus, helping others, in general, is a good thing. Assignment 5 also reflects who I am as a person because I like to help people even if it doesn’t benefit me. This image represents that helping others is something a person has to volunteer to do.  

ATA4

For assignment 4, I learned that there are several ways to love. I found that I care more about my partner, but that I also want both my partner and me to be independent and have our own lives. I think this topic reminds me that everyone has a unique way to show their love and not everyone wants the same things; it reminds me that I should be accepting of want others want and make sure I know what I want before making big decisions in love and life. The topic of love also makes me think about my course called Psychology of sex because the course explains and goes over how different cultures and people show their affection and love. I think the image that I choose represents that just like there are many colors, there are many ways to love.

ATA2

Assignment two helped me see that I care for others more than I care for myself. I think that I also tend to cater to others before myself, which is good sometimes but can also hinder my voice to speak up for what I want. I think that this shows me that I need to take more initiative to give my advice and my opinion. This assignment is related to Psychology of Sex because people have to know themselves to help others and themselves. Psychology of Sex is about how people identify themselves and the ways people discover new things. I choose this image because I need to be more vocal.

ATA1

Assignment one was about heuristics which are complex decisions that are explained through specific methods. These methods are representativeness, availability, anchor and adjustment, and status quo. From this assignment, I learned that people could make decisions based on how people look or act, how people think based on association, how people decide on quality versus quantity, and how people think things should be. I think that heuristics is relevant because everyone uses them whether they notice them or not. I have used them when I buy bathroom products; I must decide whether my bathroom products still work for me or if I need new ones. Most of the time I will continue using my old products because I know they work. However, sometimes if I find a new product, I will investigate it and compare it to my old product. This is the status quo heuristic because I am deciding whether to stick with my norms or change to something new. Heuristics is related to my Social Psychology course because heuristics are a part of everyday life. Social Psychology is about how to deal with everyday things and social norms, which I think that the status quo Heuristic and norms are closely related. The image represents the notes that I took while learning what heuristics is about.
