I served on the General Education Reform board for Old Dominion University. In this capacity, I gave feedback to the administration on the progress and changes of the general education program. My primary tasks were to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of different options and ultimately recommend moving to an 8-week course schedule and the expanding in-person lab courses to online students. This resulted in all online courses becoming 8-week courses starting in Fall 2026, as well as the introduction of broader lab electives to the online program.

I was also appointed to serve on a student panel for the ABET accreditation of the University’s Computer Science Department. I answered questions from the ABET reviewer and provided feedback and evidence on the rigor of the program.
