MEMORANDUM

Subject: For The People Act 2019

Dear Representative, Canduit,

After excessive research, I find that it would be best for you to use the For the People Act of 2019 as the best approach when sending letters to your constituents.  The For the People Act of 2019 is a current law that was passed on March 8 in 2019.  I find this law to be the most beneficial and useful for your campaign due to the security and protection insurance that it brings to the table.

To briefly summarize the For the People, Act of 2019, it was the first bill introduced in the new Congress with hopes of setting forth provisions related to election security.  Some examples of this include sharing intelligence information with state officials, protecting the security of voter rolls, supporting states in securing their election systems, as well as developing national strategy to protect the security and integrity of US democratic institutions.  This piece of legislation promises a grand amount of insurance for the United Nations and its citizens.  Security is a key concept that we need to enforce in up-and-coming years due to the growth in technology, artificial intelligence, and surrounding architecture.  The security claims of this legislature seem just and reassuring to help with such issues.  For example, the protection of voter rolls is a key concept that I approve of the most due to the outbreak of the 2020 election.  The most prominent, or main, nominees for the 2020 election were Donald Trump and Joe Biden.  “Biden’s victory over Trump in 2020 was not particularly close. He won the Electoral College with 306 votes to Trump’s 232, and the popular vote by more than 7 million ballots” (pg. 1, NY1). After Biden’s winning of the election and taking of office in January, speculation began to grow around whether it was a fair election or one that was rigged.  The main individual to spark such controversy and notions was Trump himself and the republican party with over fifty seven percent in agreement that Joe Biden was not legitimately elected to presidency.  This was later proven to be false and abrupt nonsense later along with the verification of voting numbers and what not.  This is one of the areas where I find this act to be useful.  Another has to do with the protection that it provides.

The For the People Act of 2019 also strives to develop national strategy to protect the security of US democratic institutions on top of sharing intelligence information with state election officials as mentioned above.  Both provisions are necessary for the construction and development of our justice and legislative systems respectively.  Sharing intelligence information with state election officials is one of the key provisions since it ensures that the officials are up to date with the latest of information.  Protecting institutions and sharing intelligence information is important for our progression in the voting department.  This act aims to provide and protect the notions of the people by ensuring that politicians are providing for the people and their areas of interest.  Looking back at previous elections before the implementation of the For the People Act of 2019, we find that a lot of them were based on immoral principles.  Such principles include the influence of money in politics as a usefulness for mischievous deeds and persuasion, partisan gerrymandering which divides geographic areas into electoral districts often giving one political party an unfair advantage over the other, etc.  The use of money during previous elections was usually the turning or most prominent factor above the figure heads beliefs during this time.  I do not agree with this since money should not be a priority.  While it has its benefits and can provide for a lot of the tasks that the political head promises it should not be the priority as we should vote for the person whose words and notions sway us the most on top of their morality to certain subjects.  This act reduces the unfair advantage that these concepts provide to guarantee a better legislative voting system which in turn fixes the problem.  To improve this law, additional guarantees and protection against voting illegitimacy would be useful.

The For the People Act of 2019 has corrected a lot of the issues that were faced in previous 2019 elections which I find to be a net positive for the voting system and its future progression.  It has prevented errors in prevailing elections and guaranteed security for those looking to vote in a safe environment.  I truly believe that this act will be the best approach when you compose the letters for your constituents.  The cyber related aspects, security provisions, and protection are proof of the acts structure and integrity.

Regards,

Spencer Foulk
