Originally from Zion, IL, I was raised in Virginia Beach, and made Chesapeake, VA my home where I raised 4 children (only 1 left to graduate!) with my husband of almost 30 years. We married and started our family very young, so my college education was postponed. I’ve been a Medical Assistant (NR-CMA) since 1998 and worked in dermatology and family practice. I am very excited to finally pursue my college dream and obtain my BSN! I chose ODU due to the reputation of their nursing program. One of my daughters graduated ODU in 2021 and a brother in 2005, so I’m joining the tradition! I enjoy singing, playing handbells, reading, baking, and gardening.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/stephanieduffney\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37501\/2024\/12\/IMG_5662-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/stephanieduffney\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37501\/2024\/12\/IMG_5662-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/stephanieduffney\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37501\/2024\/12\/IMG_5662-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/stephanieduffney\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37501\/2024\/12\/IMG_5662-630x840.jpg 630w, https:\/\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/stephanieduffney\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37501\/2024\/12\/IMG_5662.jpg 784w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/>
This is Mickey!
