Experiences in cyber security vary across multiple work roles. Sandra describes seven reasons why individuals should consider a cyber security career. Starting with job security in the years to come cybersecurity will still be around and there are not enough people to fulfill the jobs so you will be secure in your position. Next is, the ability to have multiple careers or roles in cyber security. Every day more roles are being created in the cyber security field so if you don’t like your role then try a different one in the field. The next reason is that cyber security is fulfilling career cybersecurity is for the people, you can make people happy by keeping them safe and secure and that should bring you joy. Basically, means that there is a purpose being in cyber security the job is bigger than just making money. The next is a competitive salary, cybersecurity gives you the ability to make a salary enough so you can enjoy life. You can support your family and own a house. The next reason is that the bar to get into cyber security is very easy, you don’t even need a bachelor’s in cyber security all you need are the certifications. Next is that cyber security has a strong community, you always have a team that will help you throughout your career. People are not working behind your back to outsmart you or anything you stick together as one. And the last reason is that you will never be bored. The factors that I find most appealing is how easy it is to get your foot through the door and the pay once you are in the field of cybersecurity. I feel like I would fit great into the field of cyber security because I am a team player at heart.
