After watching G4Choppa & G4 Boyz – “In Scam We Trust,” I have found that it relates to this class because most of the cybercrimes start off as scams. First off, these boys belong in jail, but an underrated cybercrime that no one looks at is something called fake scanning. People will literally walk up and scan an orange for a 65-inch tv. It is insane how there is no better security than just cameras watching at self-check-out. Also, the old people checking receipts at Walmart do not do anything to help either. This video is related to this class because scamming is a crime, and this class always talks about the crimes related to cybersecurity. The store Home Depot has caught onto fake scanning as people would ring up a candy bar for a power tool. Now the power tools have chips in them, and they only activate when paid for. They also talk about fake dating in this music video. When you tell a girl what she wants to hear like, “let me spoil you,” she will give you access to her bank account, and they put money in she spends it then you take it back then she is down bad on money that she never really had. I know all about this because my girl best friend actually had this happen to her. When these scammers get a hold of your bank account then they also can freeze your account. It is crazy that people fall for these scams and that stores just let people go with whatever.
