Three ways that computers have made the world safer would be in the form of secure digital information, offline storage and access to information. When storage of information is in a secure digital form you remove the opportunity for someone to steal physical information that can be used against you, basically creating a method to take one path for stolen information off the table. Offline storage is another way computers have made the world safer, since the information is stored digitally offline you have a method for secure storage which makes it hard for anyone to digitally or physically steal you information for future use. This information stays somewhere you have access to and you can keep secret. Computers have made the world safer because there is more of a wide access to information, creating a way to let everyone know information from their own homes to not only make their lives better but they can search information that can save lives or keep a person safe. This information could be in the form of a easy access to emergency alerts, health tips, life saving tips and so much more.

With the ease of digital information, computers have also made things much less safe. When your information is stored online in many different sites it takes only one intrusive attack to find your information that can lead hackers to other sites containing more of your information. More information on the web means for an increased chance of your personal information stolen. Since hackers don’t have to physically break into any persons home to steal information there is so much personal data on the web that creates a pool for hackers to find and use for personal gain. Computers have also created a flood of information that is misleading or incorrect that cause cause true harm to anyone that reads the information. In the digital world many people take whatever they find on the internet as truth and this creates a society that can be easily misguided and can be truly harmful to society. All in all you will always have your pros and cons of a digital world and it will take each person to have constant vigilance to be able to move forward safely with the increased vulnerabilities.
