Throughout this semester, I learned more about the francophone world and the different cultures connected to the French language. I discovered that French is spoken in many countries outside of France, including Haiti, Canada, parts of Africa, and the Caribbean.

One thing I learned was how important food is in French-speaking cultures. Through the lessons about meals and restaurants, I learned about different dining customs and the importance of enjoying meals with family and friends. I also learned more about travel and tourism in francophone countries while discussing vacations and popular destinations.

Overall, this course helped me see that the francophone world is very diverse and connected through language, culture, traditions, and communication.
