Activity Summary2

In the last 100 hours of my internship, I continued to learn a whole lot of information. I became better as a scribe as it was becoming more natural. I spent this half scribing many patients, while still helping apply the “cold spray,” which was a spray applied to the skin before an injection. The spray would numb the skin and cause less pain when the injection was happening. I spent a lot of the second half of my internship learning about what insurance companies cover which things. I learned that dealing with insurance makes the jobs of health workers a lot harder. Knowing what each insurance company offers is huge because one can really get themselves into trouble if they offer something to the patients that their insurance company does not cover. There are obviously a lot of insurance companies and it’s super important to know the details about each and every one. On top of learning about each insurance company I also began to learn about which Physical Therapy offices are the most beneficial. I learned that some are more beneficial than others due to the fact that they target the part of the body that’s in pain versus a total body office. This internship allowed me to create a lot of relationships that I will always cherish and I could not be more appreciative of this opportunity. This company has been great for me and I would recommend them to just about anyone who is in any sort of pain.
