Hola! Me llamo Susan. I have worked at ODU in the Office of Distance Learning for almost eleven years. Before that, I worked at the University of South Carolina for ten years. Yes, I liked college so much I decided I never wanted to leave!
I took my first ever Spanish class in the Fall of 2018 after an amazing trip to Peru. I had always wanted to try to learn Spanish, but my inability to communicate effectively at all on that trip really motivated me! I love to travel and really hope to master enough Spanish to be able to more fully enjoy the beautiful places I go and people I meet.
I am married to a wonderful man, Rob, and am step-mom to Brady, who at 17 is more man than child. I am a runner, a reader, and a crafter. I volunteer with a dog rescue organization so we have a steady stream of foster golden retrievers passing through our home, to the delight of our foster-who-became-permanent, Chloe.
