DECA

DECA is an internationally known student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. In DECA members leverage their experience to become academically-prepared, community-oriented, professionally-responsible, experienced leaders. The students come away with so many life-changing experiences and many life-long friendships. The students learn necessary job skills as well as cultural competence and travel skills.

I have served as a chapter advisor, event coordinator, judges’ coordinator, and board liaison throughout my Collegiate DECA career, and I have seen how this organization helps students grow into confident, knowledgeable, career-focused graduates. In 2019, I was honored to be awarded with Advisor of the Year!
