In the United States, women can smoke in the streets and drink as much alcohol as they would like. In both countries there is a gap in pay. In the United States, women started out being viewed as homemakers. It escalated to give the view of modern times and women as bosses and men staying at home. It was a plot twist. As for in Korea, men and women are viewed on the same level. There is no dominant gender. I think that eventually women and men will be seen as equal all over the world.

www.ndtv.com/world-news/british-men-are-bigger-supporters-of-gender-equality-than-women-survey-1264359

ATA2

Assignment two gave me the opportunity to embrace American values and also learn how other cultures view them as negative traits. Equality was the value that I kept closest to my heart. I believe in fairness of all humans, regarding social status. Other countries think that the higher the ranking, the better the treatment. They want to be known and celebrated as leaders. Even though I do not see it the same way, I respect their beliefs because their culture is different from mine and I would not try to modify their way of thinking. All cultures should read about other cultures’ values and understand why we value the things we do so that no one is offended.

https://fop.kontribune.com/articles/411

ATA1

In this assignment, I learned about the six stages of intercultural sensitivity.
