ASSIGNMENT 4
I very much enjoyed this assignment because it was an interesting aspect of myself that I had never really thought that much into. I, of course, had delved into my love languages, but I had never really considered to break apart the aspects of love itself to determine how I loved. It was also very interesting to consider the results that I got after taking the test because I was in disagreement at first, but then I agreed more as I considered the facets of each aspect of love, but then I was taken aback by the results after finding that I agreed. It was an intriguing exercise in self-discover, even though I still don’t put too much stock into the results I received.

The scores I received on the aforementioned love languages test; these results I agree with 100%. They’re almost a more simplistic version of the aspects of love in the test for this assignment.
ASSIGNMENT 3
This assignment wasn’t very informative as it was just an opinion piece in relation to a video, I’m not sure that there was much to be learned from that. I suppose, if anything, it helped me solidify my beliefs on what qualifies as hate and what is simply mental illness; it also gave me the idea that hate can stem from mental illness, but it is still typically hate. From here I can use that new knowledge as a precedent for how to judge other situations similar to this one. However, I still always believe in having an open mind and taking each situation in an isolated manner given each set of unique circumstances; which is something I did in this assignment.
Really though, I’m not super certain what to say about this assignment because it didn’t teach me much and there wasn’t much from it that I could relate back to prior learning or person interest.

Michael Richards, the subject of assignment 3, taken from an article, found here, that uses his racist rant, among other things, to explain his disappearance from the spotlight.
ASSIGNMENT 1
I think this was a fantastic assignment because it offered I chance to become more acquainted with each of the types of heuristics via several examples that related them to real-life applications. I addition, I think that coming up with my own examples helped solidify the ideas in my mind because it required that I understand them and then relate them back in ways that would be more memorable to me and my experiences. I think, as far as application to my life, that knowing the names and parameters of the heuristics helped put labels on things that I had already seen and experienced in life, as far as decision-making is concerned, and that is what made the assignment interesting; because it’s always intriguing when you learn the name and explanation for something that you had already vaguely noted in your mind. Emphasis on the explanation portion of that sentence, because it’s one thing to know what something is called and what it looks like, but it’s another to understand why it happens.
