Offenders use technology to prey on their victims. They use the internet to hack people and steal their information. Not only do they use the internet to steal information but they use it to stalk and harass others. There are multiple incidents where a woman thinks she is talking to a man and when they decide to meet up it goes left. He might not be who he says he is or he might just  be a guy who has been stalking you. Technology is providing people with different ways to commit crimes. Some people would try to defend criminals for certain crimes saying a person should not post something they want private. Even though they should not post everything it does not give someone the right to harass or stalk someone. There are shows that show you that the stuff that you see on some shows are real. The show To Catch a Predator shows some offenders just do not care. In one episode the older man was texting a minor and when he came over to her house and saw the production team and Chris Hanson his heart dropped. Men like this are creepy and shows you the internet is not really safe.
