They preserved, pushed, and won 79-73 against the Auburn Tigers in the Final Four game held on April 5th, 2025, in Tampa, Florida. From what was a packed arena enriched in history, Florida helped to showcase the meaning of resilience while showing composure and ultimately releasing the power within themselves that was most important to them to get through.

First Half… Auburn Tigers had a great start to Florida, leading by 10 until the end of the first quarter with 46-38. Gators lacked foul trouble and shooting in the first quarter, still giving them a chance to come back and improve. John Broome, one of the best power forwards and centers, Auburn has one of the most elite players playing tonight with an elbow injury but still preserving and pushing throughout it all.

Gators come back in the second half… Florida got some power back with a 13-3 run, turning up on their defense and pushing through the transitions, causing some tension in the game. Clayton Shines Jr, one of the most unique and talented individuals and the heartbeat of this tonight, found his rhythm and kept that throughout the entire game. Alijah Martin added 17 points and key points to Florida’s comeback following Thomas Haugh, with 12 points and seven rebounds. The team worked together to recover and keep the momentum and the energy.

Auburn fights to the end and loses; Florida wins!… While Auburn pushed until they could not anymore, they did their best. Florida held firm, pushed, and gained their victory, now making this win an 11-game streak to their wins. Now, they have automatically secured a spot in the Monday national championship against the winners of tomorrow night’s game, Duke vs Houston. Florida is looking to gain their third national title in a while. It is a new year so that a new team could take home the title and trophy.

Final Score...
