Can-Do Statement

The NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements are the result of collaboration between the National Council of State Supervisors for Languages (NCSSFL) and the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) guide:

  • Language learners to identify and set learning goals and chart their progress towards language and intercultural proficiency;
  • Educators to write communication learning targets for curriculum, unit and lesson plans;
  • Stakeholders to clarify how well learners at different stages can communicate.

As seen above, the can do statements are accurate to analyze my level of Spanish. Attached below is my can do statements along with a screenshot of a conversation that I had with a peer about a concert we were both attending. Additionally, I am adding a screenshot of me understanding the discussion board in class.
