One social problem that I think should be addressed more is support for inmates being released from prison. When former inmates get out of prison, they have no money, no clothes, no housing, no food. Another problem is that company’s and organizations don’t want to hire felons or people with a record. I propose an organization that supports inmates getting out of prison. My organization will host fundraisers and look for investors, most likely landlords and managers of small business, that can help support my business in order to support these former inmates. With the money that we will receive from the fundraisers, we can help pay rent until they are able to find a job and support themselves. There are plenty of small business around where I live so one part of this organization will be to create a relationship with the owners of these businesses to encourage them to hire our clients.
