Which means I like doing creative things and I work well with groups and most effectively within the global perspective. The study strategies regarding my learning style is too look over all pictures and read captions, re reading what I have read, use highlighters and colored pens, recall information and finding metaphors for larger concepts. After learning about my new learning style, I did take some of the study strategies for my learning style. I now highlight what’s important or needs to be remembered when I study. I also find metaphors to related to a topic so it can be easier to understand or remember.

When it’s time to study, I usually study in my room or at a study session. Sometimes as I am walking to class before I go take the test. Usually there are distractions when I try and study. If it’s not the people around me it can be my phone or the television. I usually study when it’s time for bed or while I’ll be doing my homework. Depending on how many classes I had that day, I may or may not be alert as I am studying. Studying does help when I study closer to an exam because the information I need to learn will be fresh in my memory. I can improve my studying habits by using flash cards and studying more time before the exam.

No college has not been what I expected because I didn’t think I would be getting as much work compared to what other freshman’s get. My roommates have so much free time compared to me and a lighter work load. I am always doing homework, a project or studying for a test. I know I didn’t come to college to think I was just going to have fun and not have any work but I thought maybe there would’ve been a few days during the week that I didn’t have any work. Living on campus a challenge that I had to overcome would be being able to live with two other females I barely knew and since I didn’t know them very well we didn’t know how we really felt about certain things.

One problem that I encountered this semester was being prepared for a chemistry exam. So, the resource that I used was going to a study session. A resource I would like to learn more about is the study abroad resource because in the future I would like to participate in studying abroad a semester. So far, this semester a few of my professors helped me. If I had an issue or problem with what I needed to do I would email my professor and they would give me feedback on how to do it correctly. I have not attended an interest meeting yet, but I will for the student activities council and in the future for a sorority.

Chyna Taylor Mid semester reflection My learning style is “NF” intuitive/ feelers description.
