I am currently majoring in cyber security, so my major relates to cyber security technology and the systems that they use in pretty much every way. I am still pretty new to the world of cyber security because I just switched my major from history over to cyber security the week before this semester began, but I already know from what I have researched is that I will have to learn as much as I can about the technology in this field. My current goal is to become a security engineer, so I will be working for companies examining the security systems that they have set up, and using technology in order to find its weaknesses or create a new program that secures it better. Even if I do not do that exact career, jobs similar to it still need to know the technology used to detect that the system is being hacked, write codes, establish protocols for the system, and many other types of technology that I will need to learn and use . Through all of the classes that I will take while receive my bachelors and masters degree in cyber security I will learn about many different types of technology that is used in the field that I will have to learn to be efficient with. I was also told that a lot of careers in this field require different certifications that teach about different types of technology and systems that are used in order to get specific jobs in this field jobs. Like I said I am pretty new to cyber security and was never much of a computer person until now, but learning about what a framework is and how it is used this week, there are already many systems that I will have to learn about and how to use.
