As the article Cyber crime nation typologies states, spam makes up over 72 percent of emails that go around today, and a lot of spam is sent by a singular person, or a company in order to fill peoples inboxes with spam, which can possibly lead to people being hacked or their information stolen if they are not careful and click on links or work with the spam emails. While there are definitely people who send spam emails from the United States, they are not in the top five, but are one of the heaviest targets and victims of spam emails. Russia on the other hand is one of the leading countries in sending spam emails behind India and China. Both the United States and Russia are two of the major companies who conduct in phishing, which is sending somebody an email or text with false information and a link, which can lead to that person being hacked if they click on the link. While being one of the main countries who phish the United States is also the number one most targeted country in phishing attacks. Another major cyber security threat is fraud schemes, where people can be called or emailed about some sort of proposal from another country, and the proposal requires the person receiving the offer to send money to the sender. It seems like something that is mainly done in smaller countries, but The United States is one of the leading countries of people who send fraud schemes to other people and countries. Again with the United States and Russia both being powerful and largely populated countries, both suffer greatly from fraud schemes. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
The cyber security risk between the United States and Russia are both pretty similar because they are two of the most powerful countries in the world, and they both have huge populations, but there are some differences between the two countries.
