The overlap between criminal justice and cybercrime is happening because with more advanced technology and that technology becoming more and more popular, cybercrime is becoming a lot more popular. Companies and businesses are relying more on technology and computers to run their business, and they use computer systems to store all of the\u00a0company information and all of the information about their employees, leading to more and more people trying to profit off of stealing information from companies. With this increase in cybercrime, criminal justice agencies are having to invest more research, obtain new equipment, and hire more people who are trained to investigate cybercrimes. Criminal justice agencies are also having to do more training in order to support the rise of cybercrime, and the agencies are having to train their employees how to keep information secure and protect themselves against a cyber attack. This is how the overlap relates to other topics that we have discussed in this class because a lot efforts are going into cybercrime by criminal justice agencies. Criminals are finding new ways to commit cyber crimes and to do things that can easily harm other people or businesses, so more technology and different tactics are needing to be created in order to combat the higher and higher rise of cybercrime. Criminal justice agencies are having to conduct more training about how to detect possible cyber attacks and how to properly react, they are having to install firewalls and make sure that only people who need to see certain information are able to see it. With the increase in cyber attacks criminal justice agencies are also having to hire employees to do things such as more complicated passwords, and even 2 factor authorization techniques in order to make hacking into somebody’s account more difficult, and hopefully limit the amount of cybercrime..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
