Cybersecurity programs are a very crucial step in having a safe and secure business. It protects small and big businesses’ information and materials from being hacked. Although it is an expensive add-on to a business, especially one that is just getting started, it is worth it because it is more costly to recover from an attack than to try and prevent it. There is a lot of unpredicted time and cost that go into setting up these systems. The business and the company installing the computer programs need the knowledge to know how to install the systems and know what systems will work best with what they need and what their systems require to protect against any viruses. Installing a program can cost thousands of dollars out of the business’s pocket. The first step would be to contact a trustworthy company to set up the systems on the computer. After that is installed and running properly you have to train the employees on how it runs and how to work with it installed. Like I said in a previous chapter teaching the employees can cost more money and a lot of time. That is one of the downsides of choosing to install programs. After looking up different programs I learned that the programs need upkeep after being installed. New versions come out every few months just like phones. Phones update their software every few months to protect the phone from viruses and to upgrade its features. The same goes for computers, they need to be kept up to date to protect businesses. These are only a few downfalls of installing a program. The benefit of installing these programs is that they can save a business before it even gets attacked. It can keep very important information safe such as medical records, social secret numbers, and credit cards. Overall, the benefits outweigh the cost, installing programs can save the business and protect the information and employees. Paying a few thousand upfronts is better than paying hundreds of thousands for damages later.
