Week 10

Engineers make cyber- networks safer by creating new cyber networks and they are always looking to improve networks as well. Engineers are the backbones of cyber networks. They make sure hackers and people that aren’t authorized aren’t gaining backdoor access through a soft- spot in a firewall, monitoring the network to ensure that it is functioning correctly. They also find vulnerabilities through rigorous testing to make sure that the network is running and is strong. Engineers continuously update the cyber network to make sure there are no weak spots. Engineers work together on cyber networks in order to track all attacks so they can be better prepared for the attacks and for any future attacks. Engineers in cybersecurity are similar to detectives but for companies. They know how to respond to attacks, prevent attacks, and weaknesses in the networks. Engineers make networks safer and more secure. Cyber attacks are becoming more and more common. It is one of the most occurring crimes committed today. This is due to how much easier it is to access computers. Since these cybercrimes are being more predominant cyber security is becoming more and more important. Engineers create safe and reliable networks for people to use in order to protect them. They follow protocols to make sure everything is running correctly and everything is protected. Engineers are looking out for the network as a whole and impeeds future protocols for safety measures of the network. They understand what it can take to combat certain attacks and how to prevent them in the first place. They also conduct scans of networks to find vulnerabilities. Lastly, they are leaders in leading investigations into how breaches happen because they have the knowledge and experience most individuals do not. “Security engineers usually work as part of a larger technology team and report directly to upper management.”
