I am Temia Pennix, and sports have always been a big part of my life. It started when I was little, going to all of my sister&#8217;s sporting events and practices. Eventually, I started playing sports, and it was all I knew for the majority of my life. I played basketball, volleyball (beach included), and track and field. I love the competitiveness of sports; it&#8217;s a good way to stay active and have fun, and that is what made me fall in love with basketball and volleyball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-3gdam818\">I am interested in a career in marketing as a communication specialist and social media management. I love the idea of helping someone or a company reach the audience they are looking for, growing their presence online, and sharing themselves with the world. I would love to combine my love for women&#8217;s sports and my interest in communication to be able to increase the attention that women&#8217;s sports and athletes get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-zhr2y2324\">Creating this blog didn&#8217;t come easy, I had originally planned to use WordPress a resource through ODU for students to create an e-portfolio. Unfortunately, WordPress would not allow me to edit any of my pages, I even tried creating a new site and it still wouldn&#8217;t work for me. I troubleshot the problem and reached out to support, but they were not sure how to help me either. It took me a while to get Word Press to work for me. I initially created a Wix Website, just in case I couldn&#8217;t get the WordPress page to work, but here I am and it is now working. I hope you enjoy all of my future blogs and I look forward to chatting about sports here on my sportsjournal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<a class=\"synved-social-button synved-social-button-follow
