Cybersecurity Ethics
This course examines ethical issues relevant to ethics for cybersecurity professionals, including privacy, professional code of conduct, practical conflicts between engineering ethics and business practices, individual and corporate social responsibility, ethical hacking, information warfare, and cyberwarfare. Students will gain a broad understanding of central issues in cyberethics and the ways that fundamental ethical theories relate to these core issues.

In this course, I’ve delved into three vital topics in Cybersecurity Ethics: Whistleblowing, Privacy, and Professional Ethics. Each has offered profound insights which challenged my perspectives and prompted me to reflect on my ethical stance in the digital realm.
Whistleblowing was a concept I was vaguely familiar with before this course, but its significance and ethical implications became clear as I explored deeper. Initially, I viewed whistleblowing solely as an act of exposing wrongdoing within an organization. However, through discussions and case studies, I’ve come to appreciate its complexity.
