I am interested iCybersecurity technology for multiple reasons. The first reason being that I’m very intrigued by it. Ever since I’ve known about cybersecurity and what it was I’ve thought it was interesting and wanted to pursue it in the future through college and hopefully a career at some point. I found it interesting that so much happens behind the scenes to make things on the internet safe that we take for granted, and I wanted to be a part of making things safe and secure on the web. My second reason as already mentioned is I would like to make a career out of cybersecurity. I’m hopeful that by taking classes throughout college and getting a major in cybersecurity it will allow me to obtain a job in the field later down the road in a cybersecurity field. I chose this path not only because I’m interested in the field but I also have basic computer skills which I think would help me out when trying to be successful doing this sort of stuff. The last reason I would like to learn about cybersecurity technology is the demand for people who know this information. Ever since the internet really started to take off, cybersecurity has been a big issue because there aren’t enough people to fill the positions that companies require. This is a beneficial perk, I thought, of this field. Due to the demand of people needed with this education it should make it easier when I graduate to find jobs with cybersecurity requirements. Interest and career options are the two major reasons I’m interested in learning more about cybersecurity technology. I’m hopeful that studying in this field will lead to vast career opportunities in the future and I’ll be interested in what I do at the same time as an added bonus.
