Computers have both made life easier and safer as well as more difficult and dangerous. Computers have made it safer by encrypting important data which protects otherwise loose documents on the web under encryption to protect it from other people. General security is another way computers have made the world safer. Without computer systems cameras and other surveillance options would not be available leading to a lot of issues where places have vulnerabilities to being attacked physically. Finally we take a look at healthcare which has been significantly pushed forward with computers and other technology. Computers have helped push medicine to the next level with new treatments and cures to diseases that previously were untreatable thus making people more safe. With that being said computers are not all good. They definitely have lots of positives that help many people around the world but there are also some negative consequences that cause harm when it comes to computers as well.  Hackers are one of the biggest hazards of the computing world. These people gain access to things you don’t want them too via computers usually for personal financial gain. These people are the biggest risk to storing data online and therefore the first negative on computers as a whole. Convenience computers make this a reality but it could be argued to be a bad thing. If people get too used to the convenience of computers then they won’t know how to operate without them and if for some reason they were to go, then people wouldn’t know what to do. Lastly we have addiction. Addiction to computers is a real issue in the 21st century where people do everything through their computer and other devices and don’t do anything else which is unhealthy and shouldn’t be done. These are 3 ways in which computers have made life safer but also on how they have made life a little unsafe as well.
