Cybersecurity is often associated with technical skills, and knowledges of systems and networks, whilst the job of a cybersecurity analyst involves understanding and analyzing social behaviors to effectively protect against cyber threats. Now one may ask, how does that relate to social behaviors? Well, the first social behavior that is related to this analysis job is social engineering awareness. Cybersecurity analyst need to be aware of social engineering tactics, such as phishing and pretexting, which exploit human psychology to manipulate individuals into divulging sensitive information or performing actions that compromise security. Understanding social behaviors and tendencies is crucial for recognizing and mitigating these types of attacks. There is user training and awareness, incident response and investigation, policy development and compliance, and collaboration and communication. These are just a few of many social behaviors that not only arise in the presentation, but relate to cybersecurity jobs.
